Denver’s Aaron Gordon injured his hamstring late in Game 6 on Thursday night

Heading towards lightning 3-2, the Nuggets were on the verge of elimination Thursday night. Denver needed a Game 6 victory to keep the season alive.

The Nuggets blew a fourth quarter lead in games 4 and 5. At the beginning of the fourth quarter of Game 6, they increased 90-82. This time, Denver did enough to get a 119-107 victory later in the game. Later in the 6th game on Thursday, Nuggets PF Aaron Gordon injured his hamstring. Gordon told reporters after the game that he felt “OK” and would begin the recovery process to prepare for Game 7.

With less than two minutes left in Game 6, the Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon injured his hamstring. He limped after it happened and grabbed the hamstring to his left with a noticeable discomfort. After the game, Gordon is “OK” to reporters and the team confirms he is “preparing for Game 7.” Athletics Tony Jones said Gordon was “good” after the match despite his premature injury.

Aaron Gordon is a player the Nuggets have relied on throughout the 2025 postseason. The 29-year-old has shots that the playoffs won in two games, making it crucial for the team’s success. Denver needs their teams to the fullest if they want to participate in the Western Conference Finals. Gordon will rest for two days in Oklahoma City to rest and recover before Game 7 on Sunday afternoon.

This postseason, Aaron Gordon averages 38.2 minutes per game for the Nuggets. Plus, he averages 16.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists. Gordon has earned 4.2 three times per game in the 2025 playoffs, hitting at .382%. The one-time NBA champion is a different maker on either side of the Denver ball. Sunday is Game 7, and we win and lose. Denver wants to keep the season alive and upset the lightning.
