Chelsea has recently been boosted by pursuing an attacker.
Blues trying to sign a new attack midfielder
Enzo Maresca has made major improvements to his team this summer, with new striker Joa Pedro playing a major role in the Club World Cup victory, scoring his third goal in the final on Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 route.
However, the Blues never did and the new offensive midfielder is also interesting, with three main options for the finalist.
The West Londoners recently held talks over a contract with Simons, but there was fierce competition for his signature, Tottenham Hotspur was also enthusiastic, and it is believed that London rival Arsenal had made his own approach.
That said, despite great interest from elsewhere, Maresca’s side will need to be properly positioned to win the race for RB Leipzigster, according to a new update from journalist Simon Phillips.
Phillips said: “Arsenal is interested in Simons, as he said, but our sources have heard they’re still focused on Eze, but if they can’t get that on the line, Simons is their backup.

Bruce is willing to use one of the players as a make-up class in attacker negotiations.
“Sources feel that Chelsea came and took Simmons by the time they happened anyway. So this is certainly brewed and everything is connected.
“Add to this, our sources have heard that Simons “want to join Chelsea,” so there’s no problem on the players’ side. It is expected that Simons will have more inquiries this week. ”
“Game Changer” Simons can sign Chelsea’s statement
Scout and writer Jace Krigg praised Leipzig for attacking Leipzig as a “game changer” last season. It is clear to see why the Dutch were impressed by both the club and the country.
Dutch International won goals and assists in March with a very impressive performance against European champion Spain, while also regularly finding the back of the net, establishing a teammate in the Bundesliga.

The 22-year-old has been extremely keen to seal his move to Stamford Bridge this summer, with Maresca’s side recently winning the Club World Cup Champions, with Champions League football being offered next season.
As he had already proved that he had what he needed to compete with the best teams in the world, Simmons’ signature was able to boost the blues and help him compete for even greater honors in the 2024-25 campaign.
