Former NBA player John Wall is incredibly praised James Harden despite consistent failures in the NBA playoffs.
Again, the Los Angeles Clippers journey has been shortened for the postseason. However, this time, we are not responsible for the early exit.
If anything, they had at least one of the best rosters on paper. Kawhi Leonard did his job perfectly, and even playing every game in the series, it was James Harden who couldn’t live up to his expectations.
Harden played badly in the crucial game 7 of the series, essentially passing the victory over the Denver Nuggets.
When it comes to individual control, few players can rival modern beards. But when Harden is asked to play winning basketball, that’s a completely different story.
In fact, NBA legend Kobe Bryant announced in 2019 that Harden would not win a championship with his basketball brand.
Despite knowing that, former NBA player John Wall has involved Harden in the club alongside Nicola Jokic, LeBron James and Luca Donsic.
“There are only three in the league and I feel they have control over the game they want. Maybe four — James Harden, Luka, LeBron, Jokic,” Wall said.
“They can basically be point guards and they know when to take big shots and when to make the right play,” Wall added.
Wall’s focus lies in Jokic’s incredible performance in a Game 1 victory over OKC Thunder, earning 42 points and 22 rebounds. However, club Jokic with Harden was considered rude by many fans, especially shortly after the former eliminated the latter from the playoffs.
Harden is already 35 years old and he has yet to reach the NBA Finals in his career. Obviously, many are beginning to question whether the whiskers will end that slump.
Despite Harden having a $36.3 million player option for the 2025-26 NBA season, there are many things that question his future with the LA Clippers.
The biggest determinant of Harden’s future in LA is his synergy with Leonard. After all, it’s clear that Klaw is the cornerstone player of the team.
The summer of 2025 is thinking about something very important to Harden. Because you can tell if he’s actually going to retire from ringless or if he’ll play winning basketball and get his final shot.
