Dana White has no interest in doing stadium shows.
The UFC CEO had front row seats of the WrestleMania 41 inside the Jam-packed Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. More than 120,000 people attended the two-night event featuring many UFC stars in the stands, including Colby Covington, Daniel Cormier and Israel Adesania.
Unfortunately, as far as he changes his mind about running shows inside the stadium, this sight did nothing for White.
“No, nothing changes my mind about the stadium show,” White said at a UFC Kansas City Post Fight press conference. “I mean, you guys were here tonight. Kansas City is a great city. The people here are amazing. I really love this town and the energy in that place was amazing all night. That’s the energy you get.
“What did they have, 63,000 people there? You’ll get the energy like them. I’m not a stadium fan. I like arenas.”
Conor McGregor will only return to the UFC Stadium Show
White’s comments came days after Ireland’s megastar Conor McGregor announced he would be returning for the stadium show at X.
“I’m back at the stadium,” McGregor wrote, sharing a highlight reel for WrestleMania Weekend.
Given that almost four years have passed since McGregor’s final battle, it’s hard to imagine anyone even caring, let alone “Mystic Mac” coming back. Unless, of course, he tries to recover some of the costs from the sexual assault incident he lost earlier this year.
