Harry Kane got off to another record-breaking start last season as Bayern Munich stormed back to the Bundesliga title, finally clinching his coveted first silverware.
Their attacking icon has quickly cemented his place as Munich’s marquee player, with Vincent Kompany’s superstar team once again emerging as a landslide favorite to make further domestic history this year.
Since joining Allianz in the summer of 2023 for a reported fee of £86.4 million, Kane has continued to shatter long-standing records and is rightly regarded as one of the most dangerous number nines of modern times.
Kane is set to lead England in next summer’s World Cup final in the United States, but questions have been raised about his future domestically.
But while Tottenham’s new manager Thomas Frank may have publicly announced that Kane will return to north London, Bayern’s impressive superstar appears intent on extending his stay at Allianz.
Kane commits future to Bayern
Many may have raised eyebrows two years ago when Kane announced he was completing a blockbuster move to Munich, but the 32-year-old has embarked on a remarkable run at Allianz.
The England icon cemented his place as Munich’s new king last season, scoring 26 goals in 31 Bundesliga games on his way to Germany’s Golden Boot and spearheading Bayern’s 34th domestic title win.
Kane, who finally bagged his first piece of silverware last year, has enjoyed further record-breaking since starting his new campaign.
The 32-year-old has an air of inevitability and has already scored 11 goals in his first six Bundesliga appearances this season, averaging an impressive 2.01 goals per 90 minutes.
Similarly, Kane has scored 18 goals in 10 competitive games for Bayern since the start of the new season, putting him ahead of superstars Lionel Messi, Ronaldo and former Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski in terms of goals scored at the start of the season.
It may have been suggested that Kane may already be eyeing a possible return to the Premier League, but the Three Lions captain has poured cold water on any speculation.
The former Spurs talisman has announced he is already in talks to extend his current contract ahead of an away game against England this weekend as Thomas Tuchel’s side resume their World Cup qualifying adventure.
“My wife and kids are happy to stay here. As you get older, that’s a big part of any decision.”

Tottenham’s ambitious dreams hit hard
Kane may only be halfway through his current four-year deal with Allianz, but there has been plenty of speculation in recent weeks that Tottenham are dreaming of the chance to bring their former talisman back to north London.
The academy graduate, who is set to leave Spurs in the summer of 2023 as Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with 280 goals in 435 appearances, will no doubt be welcomed with open arms in the English capital.
But Spurs are reportedly desperate to bring the academy graduate back to his homeland, despite saying he “felt it was time to leave” after leaving north London.
While Kane may have made his position clear that he is fully focused on extending his Munich adventure beyond his current contract, Frank publicly stated last month that he would relish the opportunity to work with the 109-cap international.
