Does Fred Vasser feel pressure in Ferrari, or is Lewis Hamilton miserable?

Ferrari boss Fred Vasser is claimed to be under pressure amidst his team’s inadequate start to the 2025 F1 season.

That’s what Sky Sports F1 Pundit Bernie Collins thinks about. He suggests that the Ferrari team principal will feel the heat after a very disappointing start to the new campaign.

After finishing 2024 with the second fastest car and missing out on the World Championship for Constructors, we hope that Ferrari will emerge from the winter as McLaren’s closest rival and will likely challenge this year’s world title.

The arrival of Lewis Hamilton’s blockbuster from Mercedes only strengthened the excitement surrounding Ferrari, but the seven-time world champion has struggled to adapt so far.

Ferrari fell 152 points from world champion McLaren after just six races this season, heading towards the first Emilia Romana Grand Prix of two home races this year.

“You feel it (pressure). When he comes in and out every night, it’s lined up with Ferrari fans,” Collins said of the pressure surrounding Imola’s Vasuzer and Ferrari.

“He does more marketing, talks with guests, and more sponsors, which brings more expectations.

“I know what that means for the fans here. The good results here are they remember this and so they’ll have bad results elsewhere.”

Ferrari once again looked to be struggling with a pace of more than a lap in practice on Friday. Hamilton ended the FP2 11th fastest after being unhappy with the brake feel.

Lewis Hamilton was only 11th in his second practice at Imola.

Vasseur downplays radio responsibilities from Hamilton

Ferrari made headlines for the wrong reasons last time in Miami, facing criticism of he over the team’s orders as Charles Leclerc and Hamilton were only able to take seventh and eighth.

The team wants Hamilton, who hit his team in a series of cheeky, captivating radio exchanges during the race.

Vasseur has once again tried to downplay the situation ahead of the Grand Prix this weekend.

“We talked about it in Miami, and it was obvious,” he said. “He was upset, as long as we can argue later.

“They (drivers) are sometimes not satisfied with the outcomes, strategy, or balance of the car.”

Asked if Ferrari had learned from the saga, Vassar said, “We don’t need to learn anything. I’ve made a decision. I think it’s a good thing – and we explained the decision to the driver.

“We checked the end, and the chapters are closed. The chapters are still open for you, but I am not.”

Vasseur is also working on a proposal that faces increased pressure given that Ferrari will take place this weekend’s event in front of fascinating Tifosi fans.

“We want the same approach this weekend as everyone else, because the motivations are always the same,” Vasseur argued.

“But from the garage and factories too. fan The fact that in front of us they are all mega motivated and committed in Formula 1 and projects. And they can be sure we are trying our best and pushing to the end to do our best.

“We’re all sure about this. It’s absolutely not a problem. You can feel it from the factory the week before, you already have a lot of people around the factory. It was like this last week.

“Let’s take that as an extra motivation and a positive aspect of this.”
