Donte Divincenzo is talking about the dramatic 2024-25 season.

A few days before the NBA season began, Donte Divincenzo saw his world turn over. He was traded by the New York Knicks for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Divincenzo kept the fact that he discovered that the entire process was unstable at the individual level and was forced to root out with such a short notice.

He played 15 playoff games for 62 regular season games and 15 playoff games in his run to the Western Conference Finals.

Players have been interviewed for exit as the Minnesota Timber Wolves were eliminated at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Divincenzo was asked about how he settled in Minnesota and what changed for him as the season progressed.

He replied: “The roles last year, the roles that led to the season were one thing. The different roles throughout the season, what you were asked, and things changed throughout the year.

“I talked to a lot of coaches, how to adapt to certain things, how to get away from my own way.”

Divincenzo explained how he helped him settle into the team’s versatile role by reassuring his words from Coach Chris Finch.

He said: “He always reminded me that you are a complete basketball player.

“That was my way of thinking. What I’m looking for in the future is all I do, expand, grow, understand what I do.”

Divincenzo acknowledged that support from Minnesota Timber Wolves fans played a major role in helping him settle down.

He explained: “The fans haven’t changed the guys on the team shortly, but the fans were amazing to me and my family. They quickly felt like they were home.”

Divincenzo plans to stay for a long time, adding, “It was just the beginning and a year of hell.”
