Draymond Green points out the important mistakes made by Anthony Edwards and Chris Finch.

The Minnesota Timberwolves continued their impressive run during the 2025 NBA playoffs, at least in their first two rounds.

After all, the organization has won the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors in back-to-back series. However, the Timberwolves met in the Western Conference Finals.

The Timberwolves were subject to a 4-1 series defeat by the number one seed of the West, OKC Thunder. But before T-Wolves were eliminated, Warriors veteran Draymond Green pointed out some serious concerns about the team.

At just 23 years old, Anthony Edwards has already traveled twice to the conference finals under his belt. Obviously, Ant has improved significantly as a team leader since the Karl Anthony Towns deal.

However, as Green pointed out in a recent episode of his podcast, it is clear that there is still room for improvement in the department.

“We’ve seen a few things that come from Timberwolves, and that’s what he says didn’t get enough shots, like in the final game of Ant-Man’s press conference,” Green said.

“Ali guy, just owns that moment. He says, ‘I wasn’t enough.’ “I don’t have enough shots,” like you got the ball,” the 4x NBA champion added.

Green concluded: “You have to make it happen.”

For reference, Edwards scored just 16 and 19 points in games 4 and 5 respectively. Instead of accepting his flaws, Edwards took responsibility elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Green criticized Edwards’ attitude after the T-Wolf fell 3-1. The Dove veteran also denounced coach Chris Finch for doing it with Julius Randle when he struggled at WCF.

“I also didn’t like benching Julius Randle in the fourth quarter in the first bad game he has in the playoffs.”

Despite scoring 28 points in the opening game of the conference final, coach Finch reduced Randle’s minutes in the next four games.

This showed a clear lack of confidence in the 3x NBA All-Star abilities. Either way, the Timberwolves have a significant offseason ahead of them as they can improve their flaws and make a comeback next season.
