Draymond Green is working on the latest moves on his former teammate Jordan Pool.
Jordan Pool and Draymond Green were teammates who once won the Golden State Warriors title and lifted the championship in 2022.
Then it all fell apart. The two players had the infamous bust ups where the green was seen in the video punching Jordan Pool.
Pool was later traded for the Wizards of Washington and made a jibe on the green this past season, but Punch was criticized as he failed to complete the NBA Finals after winning the final.
Jordan Pool moved again and traded it for the New Orleans Pelican this week. Now Draymond Green has made his remarks.
Speaking on the podcast, Draymond Green believes that Jordan Pool is trading with the New Orleans Pelican is a win-win move.
Green believes that the pool is upside down than CJ McCollum and is trading in the opposite direction, and his former teammates have a new level he can reach.
He explained: “When I see this Pelican move, I like it. Adding talent like Jordan Pool, CJ is CJ. Jordan has room for growth.
“I don’t think we’re still seeing what he’s best.”
Green supported the introduction of Pelican’s behind the scenes change to provide a clean slate for the franchise.
“I think it’s going to be a really good situation for an organization like New Orleans, under Joe Dumars’ leadership, Willie Greene as coach.”
He added that despite the Pelican’s own recent problems, it would be a relief for Poole to leave the wizard.
“I think it’s Washington… last year he had a really good team in numbers, but when you’re on that team, that doesn’t matter.”
Draymond Greene respects Jeremiah’s horror and the talent of the New Orleans Pelican who chose Derrick Queen in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft.
He said: “When I see this (trade) for the Pelican, I see this in a purely positive way.”
“They’ve become a team you have to look out for in the West. They have a lot of talent. They can sneak up when they put it together.”
The Pelican was destroyed by injuries last season, but he has talent on the roster, including last year’s draft pick Yves Missi.
In the east, there will probably be a chance. But in the ultra-competitive West, they still cut their work to try and land the play-in spot.
