Draymond Greene saw Game 4 of the NBA Finals with Paul George and predicted that the Indiana Pacers’ fourth quarter collapse would collapse into a former star.
The Indiana Pacers were wasted a great opportunity in Game 4. Despite leading the Oklahoma City Thunder for most of the game, Pacer lost the game and is tied up 2-2 in the NBA Finals.
Shy Gilgauss Alexander was fantastic in the fourth quarter, scoring 15 points to earn a comeback victory. Mark Daigneault was very impressed with the performance of the MVP.
However, it is difficult not to view this game as a loss to the Pacers rather than a victory of lightning. At one point, the Pacers were leading seven points in the third quarter.
From there, they should have gone on to win the game. One person who knew the Pacers were on the verge of collapse was Draymond Green, who told former Pacers star Paul George the same thing.
Draymond Green spoke on his show about Game 4 of the NBA Finals. The former NBA champion has revealed he is watching a game against Paul George at a nearby facility on his vacation.
When the score was 89-82, Green told George that the Pacers hadn’t built enough lead. And if they don’t expand their lead quickly, they’ll waste it. And that’s exactly what happened.
“I actually watched the game in PG… and when it was 89-82, I said, “Let the lead go to 15 or get zero!”
“What I saw was Indiana really dominated them. They got them both mentally and physically.
“But they’ve played a few here and there… these things change the game at this level… this is the NBA Finals! Now you’re really dominating this game, but you’re just seven people.
It’s ironic that OKC Thunder met in Game 1, the same fate he met in Game 4. And this lack of urgency cost both teams one home game each.
Benedict Maturin won rave reviews from fans in Game 3, but his missed free throws defeated Stretch.
After the match, Tyrees Halliburton was held responsible for the loss and explained what went wrong for the team.
Each player on the pacer deserves a share of responsibility. But they don’t have much time to lose.
Game 5 is only three days, and if the pacer wants to give themselves the best chance to win the NBA championship, they have to try and steal another victory on the road.
