Jimmy Butler’s playoff version left Draymond Green shunned him altogether.
A deal with disgruntled Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler essentially saved the Golden State Warriors’ 2024-25 NBA season.
In the 30 games Butler played during the regular season, the Warriors had a sensational 23-7 record. But Jimmy wasn’t even playing the best during that stretch.
After all, if any fan follows Butler’s career, they know that the six times the NBA All-Stars will save his best for the postseason. Jimmy appears to have already turned the switch over, and veteran forward Draymond Green loves this transition.
The Green and the Warriors have won four NBA championships in the modern era. They know one or two things about increasing the game’s playoff time.
Despite this, Green believes it’s “crazy” to see Watch Butler do the same for the Warriors this season.
“It was crazy to see someone level up their levels, like he has the last two games.
“He definitely played differently, so I’m excited like hell. Man, he’s going to get to the right place for me and everyone there and let him do what he’s doing.”
The Warriors locked the horns with the LA Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies in the final two games. The Warriors went 1-1 during that stretch, but Butler combined 68 points in the contest.
Additionally, Butler’s performance helped Dubs secure the seventh seed in the loaded Western Conference.
Fans have become accustomed to watching Butler drag Miami heat almost alone during his stint in the franchise.
Butler doesn’t have to put much effort into the dub, but Green is still adored by the 35-year-old’s ability to start playoff time that becomes a notch.
“He’s incredible. Man, it’s amazing to see someone lift his level.
“We’re obviously used to the leveling of the playoffs, the success we’ve done, but we have to do that, but to see someone else do it, that’s wow.”
Is this the year Jimmy will eventually end his NBA Championship drought? Well, it’s not an easy task as they go through the very competitive west.
