The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 will make its race debut in 2025, but will not debut at WorldSBK.
Since the production bike was launched in the middle of 2024, Ducati has made clear that the 2025 Panigal V4 will not be raced on World Superbikes until 2026.
However, the Loddy-based Aviobike team announced today (March 20, 2025) that they will operate their bikes in the Superstock class of this year’s FIM Endurance World Championships.
The team has also partnered with Italian motorcycle accessories company WRS, which will be the title sponsor of this year, to rename the team to Aviobike WRS.
The news comes after Ducati entered the factory bike at Suzuki for eight hours last year, then missed a podium finish to Suzuki during the race closure stage, eventually finishing fourth.
Four riders are listed in this year’s EWC campaign lineup. Luca Bernardi raced for Aviobike in last year’s EWC season. 2019 Motoe World Cup winner Matteo Ferrari; Akito Haga and the eldest son of Noriyuki Haga. And then the Civ Superbike Rider Alberto Butti.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Giovanni Baggi, team manager at Aviobike.
“Even though I spent many years racing, I still feel the butterfly in my stomach, initially as a rider and as a team manager, thanks to this new project.
“2025 marks a new chapter in my great passion for racing. With support from WRS, Aviobike brings the new Ducati V4 to the Superstock class of the EWC World Championships.
“I think my long experience has given me a lot of enthusiasm to those who run the project with me. The endless race, commitment and perseverance make this championship unique.
“We would like to thank Aviobike, WRS, our high-level technical partners and the team created between our riders to all our sponsors who supported us in this incredible project.”
WRS CEO Nicolas Zavoli added:
“New challenges perfectly in line with our philosophy: three concepts that identify performance, reliability and WRS, created in Italy.
“This project especially excites me. After meeting Giovanni (Baggi) and hearing a lot of anecdotes and experiences from the years of competition, I realized that they were all crazy!
“So I thought to myself. We have to go through this! We are committed to supporting the project with the best possible effort.
“I would like to thank the whole Ducati Corse family for their support. We strive to bring you an unforgettable moment. I cannot wait to be in Le Mans in front of hundreds of thousands of spectators.
