Dwyane Wade finally reveals what he feels about Norman Powell being traded for the Miami Heat.
The 2019 NBA champion was part of three team trades that saw him move in the heat.
Norman Powell revealed he was first shocked when the news of the trade broke on him.
However, he was a fan of Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade, so he continued his talk about how it was a perfect moment for him.
Almost a week after the trade was officially announced, Wade is speaking now and it’s safe to say he likes the team’s moves.
As one of the franchise’s best players, Wade is loved by many current players for what he did with the heat.
Powell was certainly one of them, and when he signed with the fever, he made it clear.
While discussing Powell’s heat and what he could do with the franchise, Wade made his feelings clear about the move.
“He films games for a variety of people, and he gave me love.
“He wears that jersey so it’s a dream for him to wear it.
“I’m sure it’s going to be an emotional night for him, when he actually goes out there and actually puts on that jersey.”

The Hall of Fame also continued to talk about how special the LA Clippers’ special Powell was last year.
He states:
“This is the perfect place to reach the next level he was just ahead.”
“Miami loves competitors. Norman Powell is that. This is another step I want Miami to resort to to get this team back on track.”
Last year, Powell proved to the world that he could become an All-Star caliber player if he was given the opportunity to do so for his team.
He led the way for them earlier this year in the absence of Kawi Leonard, dropping some major performances.
Powell had dropped All-Star numbers, but missed out on being selected, so Leonard threw a subtle jab in the league.
After helping the Toronto Raptors win the championship, Powell moved to the Portland Trail Blazers before finding a key role in the Clippers’ rotation.
| season | point | rebound | assist |
| 2024-25 | 21.8 | 3.2 | 2.1 |
| 2023-24 | 13.9 | 2.6 | 1.1 |
| 2022-23 | 17 | 2.9 | 1.8 |
He was a high-level scorer from the bench, but often stepped up as a starter.
Miami’s fever certainly lacked a spark of scoring since Jimmy Butler’s exit. That’s exactly what Powell brought.
He’s not as good as Butler, but Powell competes and gives everything for the team.
The 32-year-old is certainly a good fit for the heat, and it would be interesting to see how the franchise is using next season.
