Newcastle United are signing Sports CP Osmane Diomande to improve its defensive forces.
According to a report by The Telegraph, Newcastle is keen on Ivorian Defender, and Brighton striker Joao Pedro is also monitoring the tabs.
The African defender is reportedly valued at £67 million.
Ousmane Diomande is a solid investment
The 21-year-old Central Defender has linked his move to the Premier League in recent months, and has proven to be a great long-term investment for Newcastle. They need to snug their backs to get better in the Champions League next season.
It’s no surprise that they are keen to sign an African power this summer. He is highly regarded in Europe and has the attributes that will develop into a top-class defender. He has a physicality to do well in British football and has managed to form a strong partnership with Sven Bottman.
Newcastle is a big club with exciting projects and the opportunity to join them is extremely exciting for players. It remains to be seen whether they can negotiate a reasonable deal with the Portuguese club.
Magpie future assets
If they can sign him for a reasonable amount, the 21-year-old could prove to be a bargain in the future. He aims to establish himself as a key player in Newcastle and compete for the trophy next season. Newcastle has secured the Champions League qualification and they managed to win the domestic Cup. They will based on that and will try to promote next year’s major trophies.
They need to bring in quality players and Diomande certainly fits their profile.
