England and Bangladesh are facing each other in the eighth match of the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2025. The match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday (October 7th) at Bassa Para Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.
Both teams are keen to launch their campaign at the World Cup with a statement victory and expand their impressive start. England faced South Africa in the tournament opener and slammed them with 10 wickets.
This was a much needed victory for the England team that has faced serious criticism in recent months due to the group stage exit at last year’s T20 World Cup and the 16-0 ashes thrashing earlier this year.

It was a ruthless performance from the UK as they defeated South Africa with just 69 runs. With the exception of Sinalo Jafta (22), one South African batter was unable to reach double digits with the bat.
In England, Lindsay Smith picked up three wickets, while Nat Cyber Brandt, Sophie Ecclestone and Charlie Dean all insisted two wickets. With the bat, England chased the total within 15 overs without losing a wicket.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh launched its campaign with a seven-wicket victory over Pakistan. It was just my second World Cup victory.
Marufa Akter set the tone by casting two Pakistani batters in the first over, but the latter could not recover after that.
Pakistan ultimately played for the 39th and only 129 runs. In response, Bangladesh has taken opener Rubya Haider Jhilik to destroy his debut Fifty and chased the 32 over total.
