Luka Donsic continues to show Dallas Maverick on an undeniable streak of the Los Angeles Lakers’ performance.

From the moment they made a spectacular trade, the Dallas Mavericks were warned that they had traded an incredible portion of their future. The Luka Doncic deal has proven to be an amazing move right now for LA Lakers.

There was no fair shaking on the Mavericks’ side of trade. Anthony Davis suffered an immediate injury, but this has always been part of the risk. He had a history of injuries and was even on the sidelines when the move was carried out.

And with the already shortened window for success by amortization this season, smaller windows for success have already been shortened, Mavericks’ leadership remains reflecting where everything went wrong while criticism is piled up.

If a glass of water is filled with 50%, you can look at it and evaluate whether it is half full or half empty.

For Luka Doncic, the glass was 95% full, and the Dallas Mavericks chose to focus on 5% of the sky.

ESPN host Mike Greenberg focused on Donsic’s small weaknesses, forgetting all the perspectives and blasting out the Mavericks decision makers.

He said: “It’s about relating this, and I don’t want to put people in Dallas any more than they have to deal with. But just the fact that they traded this guy, he’s carrying this (Lakers) team himself.

“And I understand that if he chooses to focus on things he isn’t good at, that is, defense, and that he is taking shape, etc. I think you can choose to focus on those things.

“But if this guy wants to play, he’s one of the best and funniest players in the world. He’s the top three of all players in the NBA.”

And that’s exactly what the Mavericks did. They focused on the very few things that Luca Donsic could improve and used them to exchange him as an excuse.

Not believing in themselves that their organization has the ability to improve Donsic’s defense and conditioning was not believing in themselves that they suddenly forced him out the door.

Don Chick’s reluctance to commit to a long-term renewed mindset has rejuvenated the Lakers, who have a chance to win the championship this season.

And given Doncic’s age, Mavs GM Nico Harrison could be troubled by this move due to the rest of his executive career.

Greenberg added: “Swapping this guy at age 25 would be one of the worst deals in league history.”

Nico Harrison’s decision could cost Dallas Maverick more than $1 billion, experts argued that he didn’t take into account the downsides of Anthony Davis’s deal.

Mavs was all in on the advantage of Davis. Nico Harrison argued that Davis could provide better defense than Donsic, and that he could make his team more resilient in this year’s championship run.

In a perfect scenario, it could have happened. However, when choosing to focus on Davis’ positivity and Donsic’s negatives, they spoke to the scenario without considering the downsides.

Ranked 11th after being overtaken by the Phoenix Suns, the Mavs season ended effectively, but the Lakers’ excitement has only just begun.
