On Wednesday, the Warriors bounced off the 2025 playoffs with a 121-110 loss. They lost the second round series 4-1 and the Timberwolves.

He missed the final four games of that series with hamstring tension. The first muscle tone of his 37-year-old professional career. Without curry, the Warriors would not have had a chance in the postseason. On Thursday afternoon, ESPN’s Bobby Marks was discussing plans for the future of Golden State. Marks said one name to keep an eye on this offseason with Brook Lopez.

If they want to be a true playoff contender, the warriors need help at the center

“I think one name to note about the location of that center is Brook Lopez.”

One of the most obvious issues for the Warriors in the 2025 postseason was their lack of size. 6 feet 6 feet Draymond Green Play Center vs. True 7 Footer is a disaster recipe. Greene can hold himself, but the warrior will benefit from having a true big man. That’s why ESPN’s Bobby Marks believes the Warriors will target center this offseason. Marks mentioned Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez as a potential candidate.

The 37-year-old is set to become an unlimited free agent this offseason. Lopez started 80 of the 82 games in 2024-25. He shot .373% solids and .509% from the field from this past season, past the ARC. Golden State will benefit a lot from players like center Lopez. Bobby Marks mentioned Lopez’s connection to California. He graduated from Stanford University and owns a home in Fresno.

Marks hopes the Warriors will show interest in Brook Lopez this offseason. He believes the team is interested in a one-year contract for the 2025-26 season. It will be Lopez’s 18th professional season in the NBA. On the Golden State budget, Bobby Marks said the centre market is thin. So why he said Brooke Lopez as a potential candidate. Will Lopez leave Milwaukee after seven seasons and the NBA Championship? Giannis Antetokounmpo’s decision to stay or leave Milwaukee could have an impact on Lopez.
