The world of football is in mourning after being a professional soccer player for Penafiel in a car accident in Spain after the tragic deaths of Liverpool forward Dio Gojota and his brother Andre Silva.
The two men were traveling on the A-52 highway in Zamora, Spain, when tires exploded while the vehicle they were traveling overtaking another.
The news was reported by Spanish Marca just before the 9am GMT and was soon backed up by British media outlets, with Liverpool Football Club confirming the player’s death in official club statistics on Thursday morning.
