Everton manager David Moet is looking to strengthen his team ahead of the club’s first season at the new stadium.
So far, Toffee hasn’t signed this summer yet, but there are some positions that need to be improved ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
It depends heavily on how much money Moyes has to spend during the transfer period and may have to make a sale or two to fund a potential move.
The club appears to link to the Juventus star who can turn into Everton’s next Iliman Ndiai…
Everton looks at Serie a Star
According to News Outlet Foot Mercato, Toffee is one of the clubs interested in making the moves of Juventus midfielder Timothy Weah this summer.
The report states that four European clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, are enthusiastic about Americans.
The price is not mentioned regarding the move, but with three years remaining in his current deal with the Serie A Giants, Moe has to pay the appropriate fee to sign him.
The club needs more offensive reinforcements, especially on the right, and it is clear that they fit the bill.
Not only that, but it could turn out to be another Iliman Ndiai for Moe.
Why does Everton have to sign Timothy Weir?
Ndiaye was undoubtedly one of the bright sparks of the season, something that I couldn’t remember exactly.
Senegal International scored 11 Toffee goals last season, but if he wasn’t there, do you know who would end where?
Compared to the wingers in Europe’s top five leagues, Ndiaye is the most comparable player to Weah.
This pair registered similar statistics over past ranges, including goals and assists (7 vs. 9), shots per 90 (1.15 vs. 1.3), shot creation actions per 90 (1.98 vs. 2.41), target percentage (42.9 and both), and shot creation actions per intersection (44 vs. 38).
These various statistics prove that Weah can replicate the success he enjoyed with the club if he moved to the Premier League.

Having another attack option, like the Senegal star, is a huge advantage for Moyes. That’s certainly true.
Despite his talent, Weah did not settle in the club until he moved to Lille in 2019. Over the club’s 107 games, he registered 16 goal contributions, which sealed the move to Juventus.
The 2024/25 season was his most productive. Not only did he find the backstage of the net six times, but the Americans also recorded five assists for the old lady.
Brendan Rogers once praised Weir as “great” during his loan spell at Celtic. Will a fresh start in the UK finally be able to see players responding to his potential?
With Ndiaye on the left and Weah on the right, Moyes was able to have the perfect formula that wreaked havoc while attacking defenses throughout the 2025/26 campaign.
