Thierno Barry is on the way, and Everton is already considering his next move, reportedly appearing to sign a familiar face this summer for bargain prices.
Everton set up to sign Tierno Barry
A few days after Dominique Calvert Lewin announced his departure from the club, Everton is set to welcome his replacement. According to Fabrizio Romano, Toffees has reached a contract to sign a talented forward worth 35 million euros (£30 million) and sign an add-on to beat the other Premier League sides to his signature.
An impressive coup, Everton, was able to argue that not only replaced Calvert Lewin, but was upgraded immediately to Barry. The Villarre Alstar is ready to sweep the Premier League with 19 goals in all competitions last season.
League statistics 24/25 (via FBREF) | Tierno Barry | Dominique Calvert Lewin |
---|---|---|
Min | 2,559 | 1,609 |
the goal | 16 | 3 |
assist | 4 | 1 |
Expected goals | 12.5 | 6.7 |
What’s most impressive is how Barry became clinical in LaLiga last season. He scored 16 goals from a predicted goal of 12.5. Calvert-Lewin, on the other hand, was not clinical after achieving three or more goals with XG.
At just £30 million, all signs point to top signatures, but Toffee is far from the transfer front line. Before a new era at the hills of Dickinson Stadium, Friedkin was reportedly able to move to sign something like Nicholas Taliafico in a free trade.
Everton is considering Jack Harrison’s move
As reported by The Telegraph, Everton is currently considering a move to sign Jack Harrison from Leeds United on a £7 million deal. The Winger spent the last two seasons on loan with the club, and was able to complete a permanent move to eventually reunite with David Moet.
The permanent move to sign Harrison would certainly divide opinions in Everton. The Winger’s output never actually steals the headline between his two loan spells.
Despite his poor record in front of the goal, Moys took the time to praise Harrison, receiving his name on the scoresheet for the first time, telling reporters. “I’m sure everyone knows that he has a really high work rate. He’s always doing a good job for his team, but he has a lot to do and he still has a lot to improve.
“It’s not enough for me. You need more and more assists (Harrison and Lindstrom) to come up with them, but I’m happy they scored the goal tonight.”

Following the exit of Dominique Calvert Lewin, Everton is set to sign Tierno Barry, but could he also target another striker who has “Harland’s hint”?
This summer, Harrison should seize the opportunity to rejoin Everton if they are calling, as Toffee could land his signature at the price of the signature.
