Tierno Barry closes with completing his move, and Everton is reportedly “interested” in signing David Moys’ beloved Premier League rival this summer.
The latest in Thierno Barry’s Everton Move
With pre-season fixtures looming, Everton is finally set to launch his summer business and plans to start it in an impressive way. According to Fabrizio Romano, Barry is on Merseyside, completing medical care and completing a move worth around £30 million to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The impressive forward is instantly replaced by Dominique Calvert Lewin. And while the latter departure could be stabbed, Barry’s arrival is more than tempered the blow, given the great season he just enjoyed at Villarreal.
League statistics 24/25 (via FBREF) | Barry | Calvert-Lewin |
|---|---|---|
Min | 2,559 | 1,609 |
the goal | 16 | 3 |
assist | 4 | 1 |
Expected goals | 12.5 | 6.7 |
At just 22, Barry has definitely not reached the peak of his strength, but will already tell him he’s getting an immediate upgrade at Calvert Lewin next season.
In Toffee’s new era, incoming call arrivals represent a solid start, but that doesn’t mean that the Friedkin group still doesn’t have much to do on the transfer front line.

He will add real intentions by the Bruce.
The American owner has reportedly already submitted an investigation into signing Douglas Lewis from Juventus after a disastrous spell in Italy for the former Aston Villa Mann, and he will certainly represent an impressive second signature this summer.
Meanwhile, Everton also reportedly contacted young Manchester City midfielder James McAtee to sign. Like Lewis, he would be a great addition. Gaining Premier League talent from elsewhere can also be very trendy, and Toffee also links to signing another rival player.
Everton is currently “interested” in signing Mark Travers.
According to Sky Sports, Everton is “interested” in entering the backup goalkeeper market this summer and signing Mark Travers in Bournemouth. Following the departure of Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia, Friedkin can in turn leave cherry in the permament movement towards the player where Moyes is a “big fan” of Travers.
Travers failed to win the No. 1 shirt at Bournemouth, but he was impressed with his loan at Middlesbrough last season and will have the opportunity to star again in the Premier League as a result.
Former manager Mark Moresley was called “Fantastic” when he was in Weymouth, and the Irishman was only 26 years old, handing over the opportunity to compete with Jordan Pickford, perhaps even replacing him in the coming years. As backups progress, Travers is certainly an upgrade to Begovic and Virginia.
