Arsenal may not be able to nail the deal this summer, but he’s been watching Ajax Wonderkid Jorrel Hato a lot.
That’s what Arsenal expert Charles Watts said exclusively. Catch off side His latest daily briefing column via Substack.
Arsenal has been tracking the pigeons for a while, and it appears that the 19-year-old is considered one of Europe’s best defensive prospects.
The pigeons can act as center back or left back, but these are not the two positions that Arsenal is currently aware of no choice.
Watts doesn’t think Han’s move this summer is probably the case after signing last year with similar profile player Riccardo Carafioli.
Still, Watts added that seeing someone like Gabriel Magalhais leaving Emirates Stadium could change things.
Can Arsenal come back for Yorrel Hat? Charles Watts has what he says…
“The connection with Arsenal’s Yorrel Hato has been underway for a while. He’s a player they’ve seen very intensively,” Watts said.
“At one point, it looked like a potential deal that could happen, but I’m not that sure now. I’m really not seeing another left-handed defender as a priority this summer.
“We know that Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko could potentially leave, but Riccardo Calafiori is still there and I think the club feels like they have enough coverage even in Calafiori’s injury struggle.
“One of the things that can change is when Gabriel Magalhais goes.
“Arsenal doesn’t want to lose Gabriel and wants to extend his stay with the club, but there has been a talk of strong interest from Brazilian Saudi Arabia in the past, with the interest revisiting the windows at the end of the season.
“We know what will happen if a huge offer comes for Gabriel, but if he goes to leave, he obviously needs to be replaced and you think the pigeons are certainly on Arsenal’s list.
“But it’s all purely hypothetical at this stage. For now, I still feel that’s unlikely to happen to me.”
