Enzo Maresca’s position as Chelsea manager is no longer safe as he approaches the end of his first season, in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Sources close to the situation have notified us Catch off side There is some degree of division among the advanced Chelsea players over whether or not to continue Maresca.

The Italian tactician took over as Chelsea manager last summer, leaving Leicester City behind to replace Mauricio Pockettino in a blues dugout.

Despite signing a five-year contract, Maresca’s time with Chelsea could be shorter as the club waits to see how the campaign ends.

Although european conference league qualifications and victory can help Maresca Catch off side I understand that there are serious reservations about his theatrical style.

Enzo Maresca struggles after his first strong start as Chelsea manager

Maresca was impressed by the spell he was responsible for former club Leicester and got off to a strong start this season with the CFC.

However, as the campaign progressed, Chelsea became much less consistent, and their style of football was much desired.

Catch off side While there are concerns about how slow Chelsea’s build-up play is, the fair dip in star player Cole Palmer’s form also frowns.

If Chelsea can’t finish strong, Maresca may have a real risk. Todd Boley and Bedad Egbari show that they are not afraid to chop and change managers regularly.

Thomas Tuschel was in charge when he bought the club from Rome Abramovich. Since then, I have seen Graham Potter, Frank Lampard and Pockettino on dugouts.

Maresca isn’t much to offer as promised, so it will be interesting to see how this situation develops in the coming weeks.
