Manchester United and Chelsea are understood to be on alert as the opportunity appears to have been opened to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan this summer.
Sources close to the situation have notified us Catch off side The man and Chelsea are both long-term adorables for Mainyan and will be in both markets this summer for new goalkeepers.
Aston Villa is also something to see in the Maignan signed race, with France International likely to be available for around 40 million euros.
Milan doesn’t want to sell Mainyan, Catch off side With discussions about a new contract for him stagnate, they realize that he is increasingly open to leaving him at a reasonable price.
Maignan was a star performer for Rossoneri, but he feels he’s just under a portion of this season.
Can Manchester United replace Andre Onana with Mike Maignan?
Man United fans are sure to hope that the new goalkeeper will become a priority this summer after Andre Onana’s disastrous performance during Old Trafford.
After committing two costly individual errors in a Europa League match to Lyon last week, Onana was dropped by Reuben Amorim for a clash with Newcastle in a weekend league clash.
It looks like Mainyan could certainly be a massive upgrade to Onana.
Chelsea also needs a new “keeper” after joining the club and taking the extremely unconvincing form of Robert Sanchez.
Sanchez had shined at his previous club Brighton, but didn’t look enough for Chelsea, so moving for Maignan could have been a good idea if the opportunity arises.
Maignan is 40 million euros, which looks like a great market opportunity that may not come again soon.
