The future of Facundo Medina is one of the most talked about topics in European football and could move during the summer transfer period.

The RC Lens Argentine defender is preparing to leave the club this summer to take part in a more ambitious project. Medina’s contract was extended until 2028, but the club’s decision to sell players due to financial difficulties paves the way for a potential transfer.

Over the past few months, major European clubs such as Bayer Lebakusen, Crystal Palace and Rome have publicly expressed interest in Medina. The source is notified Catch off side Clubs such as Everton, Aston Villa and Newcastle United of the English Premier League are also closely following the situation in Medina. Newcastle United will be participating in European football next season, making it an attractive option for Medina.

Aston Villa has been following him for over a year. He had previously linked to West Ham United.

RC Lens is set to sell Medina for 335 million euros this summer, considering the peak market value of players. Proceeds from Medina’s transfers can be used to improve the Lens’ financial situation.

Medina had the opportunity to leave during the winter transfer due to British offers and interest from the Olympic des Marseilles. However, he chose to stay until the end of the season due to his loyalty to the new management team. But now it seems very likely that he will join a big club.

Newcastle and Aston Villa looked defensively vulnerable this season. They have recognized their previous Premier League goals of 39 and 46 respectively. If they want to do well next season, they need to tighten up in the back. Signing quality defenders is a priority for them.

Both clubs have financial muscles to pay the reported asking price and will be interesting to see if they can sign South America in the summer. He helps them tighten defensively, and he can also slot in multiple defensive roles. His versatility is an extra bonus.
