Newcastle United and Aston Villa are among the clubs that have shown strong interest in the potential transfer of Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sollos this summer.
Norwegian International has been in great shape for Atletico this term, providing a total of 27 goals and five assists in all club and country competitions.
Sollos is currently attracting interest from the Premier League. Catch off side Newcastle and Aston Villa have put him on the list this summer.
West Ham and the Wolves could be two teams to watch, but it’s unclear how likely it is for Sollos to move.
Alexander Sorros transfer details appear
Despite strong interest from the Premier League, there is currently no indication that Sollos is pushing to leave Atletico Madrid.
The 29-year-old is probably playing the best football of his career under Diego Simeone. The Atletico boss is also very pleased with him and is not trying to change his attack.
Still, Newcastle is preparing to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
This NUFC side has sometimes been overly dependent on Alexander Isaac to provide that magic in advance, so adding someone like Sorros could be a wise move.
Alexander Sollos looks perfect for the Premier League
Sollos is a tall, strong frontman and although he appears to be perfect for British football, he previously packed Crystal Palace and Premier League spells.
However, he has improved a lot since then, so it will be interesting to see what he can do in one of the top seven or eight teams in the Premier League.
The villa looks like another good potential destination for him. There is doubt about Ollie Watkins’ future, especially as it could have a big role for him.
