Arsenal is working on a complicated deal with Bayer Leverkusen’s versatile defender Piero Hincapie, and the exit for Jakub Kiwior is key to this move.
That’s according to Charles Watts in his latest exclusive column Catch off sidethe journalist explains that Kiwior’s move to Porto has not yet progressed.
Polish International’s story argues that it is not, even though the gunners are already allowed to leave him to take Porto and his medicine.
Arsenal doesn’t want to be without exchange, so the possibility of Hincapy signing is key to allowing Kiwials to confirm their moves elsewhere.

Discussing the latest information on Arsenal’s potential late business, Watts said:
“The recruitment team is understood to view Ecuador International as an ideal alternative to Kiwiol.
“So it depends heavily on whether Arsenal and Porto can agree on the final details of their deal with Kiwior, but also on whether Arsenal can find an agreement at the same time as Bayer Leverkusen, who works for Hincapie.
“So, at the time of writing this column, it is still a very complicated situation.
“There was a suggestion that Kiwior was planning to travel to Portugal on Tuesday, but I was always told that it wasn’t the case.
“From what I understand, there are still things that need to fall into place before Kiwiol is allowed to leave, and it doesn’t take genius to center on whether or not those things have exchanges in place.
“Arsenal has spent this window building a team that they believe is fully equipped to compete in all aspects and deal with injuries issues, so the last thing they want is to leave themselves in the important area just before the deadline, especially with the possibility that Orksandr Zinchenko could leave.
“They also need to make sure that the Kiwiall deal is in place, but the team will press a button for replacement as there is no space to arrive unless they leave.
“So it’s a bit complicated for the club to work on the last day of the window.”
