Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano has provided an exciting transfer update as Manchester United have talented youngster Mohamed Dabo on trial.
Romano reported on X (formerly on Twitter) that the 17-year-old has been making a very positive impact during training with the Red Devils, but a permanent deal doesn’t seem to be that close at the moment.
There seems to be a bit of a complicated process to block this move, but Man United appear to have been impressed with Dabo’s performances so far, so perhaps this will lead to something in the end.
See Romano’s post below for more information.
“Senegalese talent Mohamed Dabo (17) is on trial at Manchester United and is having a very positive impact,” said the Italian journalist.
“Due to regulations and current relationships with the club, nothing has been done/completed regarding the transfer at this stage. The formal process has not yet begun.”
Will Manchester United sign another top young player?
United are a club with a proud history of signing elite young players, often through their academy, and sometimes through smart moves in the transfer market.
It will be interesting to see if Dabo ends up becoming the latest teenage talent to join MUFC, but perhaps he will be looking to emulate some of the club’s other recent signings.
Diego Leon was recently announced by United, but recent signings such as Amad Diallo and Patrick Dorg arrived not as particularly big names, but as players who could become key members of the first team in the future.
United have spent money on some big names recently, but many have been less successful signings for the club, with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Anthony and Rasmus Hjølund all being big flops.
