Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira are scheduled to rematch the light heavyweight title at the UFC 320 in Las Vegas on October 4th, and they already met at the UFC Performance Institute on Thursday.
Ankalaev, who won his first match with a unanimous decision in March to win £205 gold, posted a video on his Instagram story showing a short conversation between him and “Poatan” in Las Vegas.
While Pereira is sitting on the sofa, Ankaraev is talking to someone who has a phone in Russian using a translation app. This person continues to tell Pereira what Ankaraev said.
“We will fight on October 4th, but we don’t need to exchange words anymore,” Ankarayev said.
“I’ve never said anything, he’s always talking,” Pereira replied in Portuguese. “I’ve never said anything, he’s always talking, and now we’re intimate, face to face, he’s an asshole.”
The video ends after Pereira responds to Ankaraev, but the former UFC champion has shown that he plans to post a longer video of their encounter on his YouTube channel.
Earlier this week, Pereira posted a video on social media claiming that Ankaraev had been hiding from him in the UFC PI and that Ankaraev fought back on Twitter.
Following the conflict at the UFC PI, Ankalaev went to Twitter to explain why he first approached Pereira with plans to resolve his rivalry with the Octagon on October 4th.
