The “fantastic” Leeds United player is believed to have reached an agreement at an exit of £7.2 million, as his Elland Road career is framed towards conclusion.
Players who can leave Leeds this summer
While a big focus is on shiny new signatures that will allow white people to join during the summer transfer period, there are current players who are expected to move to new meadows in the coming weeks and months.
For example, following the 2024/25 campaign that includes some horrifying mistakes, guarantees that Iran Mesley is a Leeds player will still be the opening game for next season.
Elsewhere, left-back junior Furpo heads to Real Betis in the La Liga outfit four years later with the whites. He played there before moving to Barcelona in 2019.
Mateo Joseph is another player who wants to leave Leeds this summer, following the 2024/25 season that is frustrating for him in terms of playing time. He may feel that 11 starts only made his path in the championship, and now is the right time for a new challenge.
“Fantastic” Leeds Ace reaches a contract that exceeds £7.2 million moves
I’ll talk leedsunited.newsjournalist Glamoré Bailey has reached an agreement as Leeds young man Joseph is heading towards Betis with his first £7.2 million move this summer.
“Leeds agreed to let him leave. I’m told that a comprehensive deal could be possible beyond the 10 million euro (£8.5 million) mark, including add-ons. Some teams were enthusiastic, but the players revealed he wanted Betis. Leeds made it happy to fight for his place, but Joseph returned to Spain.
With Scout Jace Krigg describing him as “fantastic” in the past, it’s a shame to see Leeds lose Joseph, given he’s a talented young player.
As mentioned earlier, the attacker has struggled to become a real key starter under Daniel Fark, and although he still features Lott from the bench of alternatives, we may see his playing time being further limited in the Premier League next season.
So, allowing Joseph to leave Leeds in the summer window has clear meaning and the fact that there is a sell-on clause in the contract serves as a positive thing.

Leeds United will move for a star who can become a fan favorite on Elland Road.
Given his potential, there is a risk to the whites who allow him to move on – he scored eight goals with just 11 caps under the age of 21 in Spain – but at this point it’s understandable why he wants to be a star man elsewhere.
