England head coach John Mitchell has nominated four uncaps on 37 strong teams as the Red Rose is about to win the seventh straight Women’s Six Nations title.
Discovered by new Captain Zoe Ald Croft and World Rugby Player of the Year Ellie Kildinne, Mitchell’s team is a heavy favorite to hold the title ahead of hosting the summer Women’s Rugby World Cup.
While Redborough’s team may be littered with star names, Mitchell has found space for previously uncaped Abi Burton, Charlotte Frey, Flo Robinson and Jade Shekels.
“We chose a team with a really exciting mix of players and a deeper look,” Mitchell said in a statement. “Deepth offers healthy competition when trying to evolve a combination.
“It’s really good to bring everyone together, and this is an important week to bring everyone on the same page as soon as possible.”
England will launch a campaign against Italy on Sunday.
