Ferrari is told not to “knee response” over Fred Vaserre.
The future of Ferrari’s team principal is under scrutiny, especially in Italy, after previous seasons below Par F1.
Despite the addition of Lewis Hamilton, the results do not match pre-season hype.
Hamilton launched a massive defense of Vassar, denying speculation that Ferrari could lose his job. They are now given an extra reason to keep their faith.
Ferrari said it needs “stability”.
“It’s not just one person,” Anthony Davidson told Sky Sports.
“The team is made up of 1,000 people, with an additional 1,000 people in the Power Unit division.
“Yes, one or two could affect the team. As we saw with McLaren, three or four people changed and started making a difference.
“Maybe their improvements were already in the pipeline. Who knows.
“Stability is something you need. These cars are difficult to design and set up. They need to be familiar from all sides.
“They have had driver changes – Carlos Signsout and Lewis Hamilton are all that unstable.
“We’re making massive changes to cars and power units with next year in mind, and now isn’t the time for knee reactions to change management.”
2026 brings a new era for Formula 1, with new regulations giving every team the opportunity to build a dominant period.
However, Ferrari must first address the outcome in 2025 from the F1 Austrian Grand Prix this weekend.
Last time in Canada, Ferrari drivers were fifth and sixth, but both have issues with the car.
Hamilton described the Canadian SF-25 as “a person who can’t dance.”
Charles Leclerc also admitted his annoyance to Ferrari who couldn’t match McLaren and Red Bull, as he had hoped before the season began.
