This summer is beginning to become something really special for Arsenal.
Following the overwhelming business he undertakes last year by his predecessor, sports director Andrea Berta has not wasted his time trying to side with Mikel Arteta from serial runner-up next season to the Premier League champions.
The Italians have already concluded the signatures of Martin Zvendish, Kepa Alizabaraga and Christian Norgaard.
However, in perhaps the most exciting development, the club currently appears to have secured the services of Viktor Gyoker. If the report is believed, they are targeting the winger he loves.
Arsenal target Gyoker’s dream teammate
Gyoker has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time. He was promoted for most of last summer for his move to the club and was later promoted again in January.
However, when the windows reopened this summer, Benjamin Sesco looked to be the Gunners’ new number nine, but attention quickly returned to Sweden when RB Leipzig demanded £85 million.
After about a week of further consultations and strikes from the players themselves, Athletic’s David Ornstein confirmed that he, in principle, reached a contract with Sports CP, who will see him pay an initial fee of £55 million with a performance-related add-on of £9 million.
It may be a signature that will help revolutionize the team’s forefront. As if that wasn’t enough, Gunners now want Gyoker to play with him.
At least, it revealed that Arsenal is one of the teams interested in Karmitoma, according to a recent report from journalist Graeme Bailey.
Alongside the gunners, the report claims that Chelsea and Bayern Munich are keen on the Brighton & Hove Albion stars.
The report doesn’t mention any potential prices, but according to a story earlier this summer, the seagull could claim a fee of up to £80 million.
It could be a complicated and expensive transfer, but Mitoma has the ability to make a big impact at Arsenal, and he could become Gyoker’s dream teammate.
Why Gyoker Loves Mitoma
Therefore, it is important to look at his playstyle to assess the types of players Gyoker wants to play with.
We know that Sportster is a lean average scoring machine, but looking at the league heat map this season, we see that he is the nine of nine who like to spend most of his time in the penalty area.
This is even more clear when you look at where he shot him in the Champions League last season.
Therefore, through passing and dribbling, the former Coventry City guy loves to play with attackers who can get the ball to him in these dangerous areas.
Japan’s International famously writes a university paper on dribbling, and according to FBREF, he appears to have been rewarded as he has been in the top 8% of midfielders and wingers on the offensive midfielders and wingers in the Premier League, and in the final third place of last season, the top 10% of progressive cargo distances around 90.

However, Seagull’s Ace is more than just a carrying machine. He’s more than he can chip with goals and assists.
In fact, in 36 league appearances last season, the “incomprehensible” talent dubbed by analyst Ben Matinson, found the net’s back ten times and provided four assists on a good scale.
In other words, the 28-year-old who “finishes like Thierry Henry” maintained an average goal involvement every 2.57 games, according to former teammate Christian Burgess.
Imagine what his assisted tally would look like playing alongside a striker who scored 54 goals in 52 games last season.
Furthermore, Swedish international is a threat to the goal, and is someone who loves to spend time inside and around the penalty area, allowing Japan’s international space to whip Henry-style curling shots from the left.
Ultimately, he’s not cheap, but Mithoma is a kind of winger who can promote Gyoker’s game, and then thrives.
