Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are probably the three best players in the NBA.
Each superstar is a force to consider, but what really puts them in hardwoods? Well, Finnish star Lauri Markanen recently shared two cents in the same cent.
Markanen came ahead of the 2025 Eurobasket. But aside his on-court performance, the Utah Jazz star recently interviewed FIBA.
“Donsic’s ability to do multiple different things and his ability to do his pace, where he never speeds. He knows how to go there and can clearly make shots you can imagine.
“So his size and patience, and I say, and a kind of speed change is his biggest weapon,” Markanen told FIBA (H/T BasketNews).
But that’s not all. He also spoke with Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Anteto Compo.
When it comes to dominating by using pure health, more players are not superior to Greek freaks.
Even if the Bucks have barely dented in the postseason in the last three years, that’s not Antetokounmpo’s fault. If anything, he remains one of the best basketball players in the world.
“It’s the same thing. Giannis is really physical, fast and strong.
He added: “But he can do a lot on the floor. So you’ll do your scout report and try to take something, but he feels there’s a few tricks behind him.
With Antetokounmpo turning 31 this year, it will be interesting to see if he will commit the rest of his prime to the Bucks.
If he decides against it, teams like the Miami Heat are already preparing to welcome Greek freaks to their roster.

Next up is nothing more than Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic. The 3X NBA MVP comes out shortly after another great season, but ends at the second exit.
Again, that doesn’t mean that Jokic’s ability has declined. In fact, it appears that Joker has also added athletic dunks to his skill set.
“Jokicc is really hard to play against. His ability to pass the ball and obviously his size and score threats are great for him. He’s really good around the basket. He can shoot three balls,” explained Markanen.
The Finnish star added:
“So he’s a complete threat to your team.”
Markkanen beautifully described the differences between the games of Jokic, Doncic, and Antetokounmpo, but it’s unlikely that opposing players will stop them on track.
