After three years away from the fighting game, Bellamir is back.
Mir, the daughter of former UFC heavyweight title holder Frank Meer, will step into the cage for the first time in over three years on July 27th in Houston’s Fury Challenger Series 14, the promotion announced Thursday. Mir (3-0) is scheduled to face Aribia Beery (2-1) in a women’s bantamweight match at the Imaginen venue. This event will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.
Bellamir already makes history for the UFC
“Lady” made her mixed martial arts debut in October 2020 at the age of 17, beating Danielle Wynn under the Ikon Fighting Federation Banner.
Mir competed twice more, earning consecutive first-round submission wins over Alma Cespedes and Jessica Link.
Following the impressive start of her MMA career, Mill put things on hold to attend college at the University of Iowa. She spent a year as a Hawkeye before transferring to North Central University. There he was the 2025 U24 Wrestling Champion.
In January 2023, Mir became the first athlete to sign a UFC contract.
