Chelsea have had a very busy summer so far, but as expected, this continues on to the deadline. Nicholas Jackson, Raheem Sterling, Axel Disuss and others are likely to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes, and the person leaving is Tyrique George.
George has been hoping to play regularly, and has been hoping to move away from Chelsea for the past few weeks. He is attracting interest from RB Leipzig, but is currently set to remain in the Premier League, more specifically West London.
Fulham agrees to sign Chelsea’s Tyrique George
As David Ornstein reported, Fulham reached an agreement with Chelsea and signed George. Teens travel to Craven Cottage for medical tests before signing the contract.
“Exclusion: Signing Flamm Strike Contract Tyrique George. 19yo winger contract worth £22 million + sell-on clause. CFC do FFC Medicine. “
As Chelsea holds a sale clause as part of the contract, they will keep an eye on his progress at Fulham. And that means he can go back with a lower price in the future. This is a deal that fits all involved, especially George, who is supposed to be a key player for Silva.
It will be interesting to see Chelsea do more business before the summer transfer window closes at 7pm. The sale cannot rule out that at least one signature will be made, especially considering Fermin Lopez’s decision to stay in Barcelona means they are still looking for a new offensive midfielder.
