The UFC flyweight division has been a little lighter.
On Thursday, social media accounts UFC roster Watch reported that both Montana dela Rosa and Andrea’s KGB’Lee had been released. It is unclear whether their contract has ended or simply not been extended.
Interestingly, Dellaza’s final battle within the Octagon took on Lee last year on a Louisville fight night card.
De La Rosa (13-9-1) previously competed in the Ultimate Fighter 26, winning a first-round obedience victory over Ariel Beck before fighting ultimate winner Nico Montana. Despite the loss, she was signed by the promotion to help fill out the flyweight division.
She won three straight wins by submission before seeing her streak snapped in the hands of Andrea Lee (you guessed it).
Unfortunately, she will only win three of the next nine fights. She snapped Skid, who lost three games in a rematch with the “KGB” in June, but wasn’t enough to save her job.
“KGB” Lee was one of the most active fighters in the flyweight division
Like De La Rosa, Lee (13-11) kicked off her UFC career by going 3-0 in a victory over Veronica Hardy and Ashley Evans Smith before losing three consecutive fights. She bouncing off in a W of consecutive Ws with Antonina Shevchenko and Cynthia Calbillo, but then lost her next six consecutive times, leading to her 2025 release.
Lee is closing the promotion currently tied with Katlyn Cerminara for the most matches in 14-year-old UFC women’s flyweight history.
