The two NBA Giants faced off in a eagerly anticipated clash at Eurobasket.
Türkiye and Serbia concluded the group stage with an epic eurobasket showdown, illuminating two top NBA stars against each other.
The Alperen Sengun has dominated every tournament in Türkiye. Can he keep it against NBA MVP Nikola Jokic three times?
The answer turned out to be an overwhelming “yes”: “Yes.” Alperencengun beat Turkey over Serbia.
Turkey won the showdown 95-90, while Alperensengun also won the showdown in an individual sense.
Sengun was called “Baby Jokic” by NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins, where the Houston Rockets star showed he’s all grown up.
Sengun scored 28 points on Jokic’s 22, and also repeated Serbian star 13-9. He even shot 4-7 from 3-point range to four assists from Jokic.
It was Sengun’s perfect performance showing exactly what he was.

Turkey and Serbia both qualify from Group A, but the victory means that Turkey has a perfect 5-0 record, with Serbia slipping to 4-1.
Sengun and Jokic were able to meet again at the tournament, and of course the Denver Nuggets and Houston Rockets could meet among Western favourites in the NBA playoffs next season.
The stadium features a “MVP” chant, and Turkish national media has gone wild for Sennes’ performance.
Harbor reported: “Alperen Senggan set fire!”, Onedio reported how one of Sengun’s assists led the entire stadium to his feet.
Sengun told Fanatik: “Jokic has been the best player in the world recently. It was very important to get this victory against him. When he kept me open, I scored with confidence.”
The Turkey Star was compared to Jokic in the lead-up to the game, and he showed that the comparison was justified.
