One former LA Clippers staff believes Kawi Leonard knows his time as the team leader is happening.
The LA Clippers find themselves in the storm’s eyes. Over the past few weeks, Pablo Torre’s investigation into Kawi Leonard and aspirations point to potential misconduct.
Clippers owner Steve Ballmer denied the fraud and claimed he was not involved in the matter.
As things stand, the NBA investigates the Clippers to see if there is any truth to the allegations made by Pablo Torre.
However, within the organization, there are members tired of the strangulation that Kawi Leonard had on his team, and we are pleased that it is coming to an end.
ESPN’s Baxter Holmes has released an extensive report on the history of the LA Clippers, featuring Kawhi Leonard.
Towards the end of the report, Holmes revealed that several NBA executives are hoping that Kawi Leonard will leave the Clippers in 2027. In fact, internally, both sides know that the Clippers don’t prioritize Leonard.
“Several GMS and other league executives said they are hoping Leonard will play a contract with the Clippers.
“But even so, one former staff member said the organization’s focus has changed.
The report also added that some people inside and outside the LA Clippers organization believe Steve Ballmer should leave Kawi Leonard’s situation.
“Looking back, the contract was an af-disaster,” one rival GM told ESPN in an interview with almost 20 team sources, former staff members, rival executives, agents and more.
“They reveal that the team is desperate to Leonard and those around him that they are trying to keep him happy and healthy…
“Even if the organization’s culture deviates from an internal mix of fear and secrets, and allegations of external flow and misconduct in legitimate battles.
“This last investigation is different,” a former Clippers staffer said of the league’s investigation into sponsorship agreements with the company Ballmer invested in.
“This directly raises questions about Steve Ballmer’s character. At one point, Steve has to get out of Kawi’s business.”
What appears to be the turning point for the 2019 LA Clippers franchise has become a disastrous move for them six years later.
