After being fired by Man United last October, Erik Ten Hag was fired as manager Bayer Leverkusen after three matches.
Ten Hug took over at Baiarena early in the summer after Zabi Alonso left to join Real Madrid. For the Bundesliga club, it was a difficult time after losing many key players, including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Granit Xhaka. And that led to a bad start to the new Bundesliga season, with Hoffenheim 2-1 home defeat and a 3-3 draw against 10 Vader Bremen. These came after a 4-0 victory Sonnenhof Großaspach with DFB cup.
Bayer Leberkusen makes a shock decision to plunder Eric
However, despite little time in charge, Leverkusen decided to immediately and effectively plunder the decision to confirm the decision in an official statement.
“Bayer04 Leverkusen quickly parted ways with head coach Erik Ten Hag, which was decided by the shareholders’ committee, the Corporate Club’s oversight committee, on its recommendations for Bayer04 management.
Leverkusen Sporting Director Simon Rolfes said that Ten Hag’s fired was “not an easy decision,” but Chairman Fernando Carro named it “necessary.” They now begin the process of finding a new manager.
There is no doubt that the decision Leverkusen made shocked many. And that’s what I’d feel for 10 hugs too. He is now on the market again, and it remains to be seen whether he is seeking an immediate return to management elsewhere or if he is a bit far from football.
