Tottenham Hotspur fans have been blessed with countless attacking talents over the years, many of whom have given supporters memories that will last a lifetime.
Despite failing to win silver in North London, striker Harry Kane will probably go down as one of the best ever players to represent the Lilywhites.
The 32-year-old scored a staggering 280 goals in his 10 years with the first team, often being the go-to player when it came to creating goals in attacking areas.
With his subsequent goals, he overtook Jimmy Greaves in the club’s history to become the Lilywhites’ all-time leading scorer in the league and all competitions.
However, his departure in 2023 leaves a huge hole at the top end of the pitch, with manager Thomas Frank still unable to find a suitable successor in his early months in charge.
What Frank said about Richarlison in 2025/26
Dominic Solanke’s injury problems returned in the opening games of the 2025-26 season, forcing new manager Franck to rely on Richarlison to play in the final third.
The Brazilian looked set to join Galatasaray during the summer transfer window, but the arrival of the Dane appears to have given him new life in north London.
He scored twice on the opening day against Burnley and also scored against Brighton & Hove Albion, but has been criticized for his lack of impact in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old has currently failed to score in his last four games for the Lilywhites, leading to criticism from the fan base over his long-term future at the club.
However, Frank himself has previously spoken out about Richarlison’s influence, offering a glowing review of the forward and praising his form since taking the reins.
In a recent interview, the Dane said: “Right now he’s in my starting nine and he’s scored some great goals. He’s a very good player and I’m very happy with him.”
Despite the praise, there are also rumors about his future, with rumors suggesting he could move to MLS and join Orlando City in the upcoming transfer window.
There is no denying that the hierarchy will target reinforcements in such areas in the distant future, but millions of dollars could be saved by releasing one player within the hierarchy.
Spurs star who could play a role in Harry Kane’s regeneration
There will be high expectations as to who will fill Spurs’ centre-forward hole, mainly due to the impact Kane will make.
Losing a world-class talent always presents a near-impossible task of replacing him, as the Lilywhites’ attempts in recent years since his departure have shown.
Given Solanke’s recent fitness problems and Richarlison’s inability to provide consistent training, the manager will need to find a solution if he is to succeed in the role.
However, this summer’s £110m outlay could have an impact on the level of funds available next year, with the manager having to consider making use of Will Lancshire.
The 20-year-old came through the same Lilywhites’ academy as Kane, but the similarities go beyond just their professional paths.
He was sent on an initial loan spell last season before joining West Brom in January, but failed to make the impact he had hoped, failing to find the back of the net in 11 games.
Kane suffered a similar fate in the 2010/11 season, with the Englishman struggling to impress during his first loan spell at League One side Leyton Orient.

However, Lankshya seems to have performed well in England’s second tier so far this season, having already scored three goals in nine games for Oxford United.
Such form has led one analyst to refer to the forward as a ‘Harry Kane reborn player’, further underscoring the huge potential he currently possesses.
There’s no disputing that Lankshear will need to make a big leap between Oxford University and the Lilywhites’ main role, which Kane has managed to achieve upon joining the team.
While such a move would not be the main move for supporters, it is a cost-effective move that could definitely bring huge profits to the club if he reaches the level that his compatriot achieved.
As for Richarlison, if the youngster is able to cement his place in the first team, it could definitely spell the end for him in north London, despite the manager’s recent heavy praise.
