Los Angeles All-Star First Base Manfredi Freeman finished Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers after hitting the wrist pitch.
Freeman didn’t respond very much, but he walked straight to the dugout and went down to the locker room.

Freeman was 0-2 on two strikeouts and was hit by an 88-mph sinker by Brewers’ Southpaw Jose Quintana on Sunday. His official diagnosis from the team was a conspiracy on his left wrist.
Freeman has an unfortunate history on his left wrist. In 2017, as a member of the Atlanta Braves, the first baseman was forced to miss 10 weeks after smashing his wrist from a hit on the pitch.
The ninth All-Star entered Sunday and was hit with OPS .839 on .294/.365/.474. He leads the National League in doubles (26) despite hitting just .201 since the start of June.
Freeman has been battling adversity on and off the field since July last year. Broken fingers, the ankle sprained just a few days before the start of the 2024 postseason, and from the broken cartilage of the rib bones that fought during October, the World Series MVP on the field was not completely healthy in quite a while.
Tests continue to be conducted and with official wrist status not yet established, fans are certainly holding their breath awaiting Freeman’s news.
On the same day, the changed their large lineup with Mookie Betts and Shohei ohtani. The last thing you need is Freeman loses a lot of time.
