The “accident” when taking a shower led Freeman to fine-tune the same ankle that requires offseason surgery. He is now every day, according to Athletic Fabian Arda.
Freeman’s right ankle first became a problem on the day the won the NL West against the San Diego Padres last September. He turned his ankle while trying to avoid a throw while running to a base and suffered an injury that was supposed to put him in the IL for 4-6 weeks.
However, the injury did not stop there as Freeman revealed he was playing through a broken cost osteocartilage in the sixth rib found a few days before the NLDS.
Rib’s injuries began to burn in Japan, locking him out of the first two games of 2025, but later revealed to be a non-factor of scar tissue accumulation in the area and his health.

As for his ankles, Freeman was still not happy with it last month when he spoke to reporters during spring training despite offseason surgery.
“I wish it felt like the left, but it wasn’t,” Freeman said. “Lower body injuries are much more therapeutic than I would like because it’s difficult to rehabilitate, especially the ankles.”
Freeman proved in the World Series with four home runs and the first walk-off grand slam in MLB. He can play these illnesses on the sidelines of the human man, but in the regular season game in March, he realizes that the team will pay attention.
In three games of the previous 2025 campaign, Freeman has three hits in just 12 at-bats, two home runs and four RBIs. The will try to continue their unbeaten season without a base move on a superstar at least in Monday’s game.
