Los Angeles baseman Freddie Freeman suffered a vampire injury while walking into the shower at home over the weekend.
Freeman said there was a leak in his main shower, so he said he was using it in the guest’s bathroom. He stepped into it and collapsed, reorganizing ankle injuries.

Freeman was removed from the lineup on Monday and Tuesday.
Luckily, Freeman says the x-rays have returned cleanly to his ankles, and he is undergoing three hours of daily treatment to get better.
Freeman also says he’s already feeling better and hopes to play in Wednesday’s series finale against the Atlanta Braves. But the may keep him out on Wednesday as they spend their travel days on Thursday before opening a series with the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday.
Because of that value, manager Dave Roberts said Freeman has done something “much better” and can play on Wednesday.
Freeman sprained his ankle in late September last year. The have won the National League West Division. Freeman’s injury required four to six weeks of stints on the injured list, but returned to the postseason a week later.
While Freeman was in and out of the NL Division Series and Championship Series lineup, he returned to the World Series, hit four home runs, drove with 12 RBIs and won the World Series MVP Award.

Freeman wasn’t 100% ahead this season, but he said his ankles were beginning to feel better before the fall. He also said his ribs are beginning to feel better after he had some discomfort in the region during the Tokyo series, when he left the lineup. That discomfort came in the same place where I smashed my rib cartilage during my last postseason run.

Freeman also spoke about MLB’s new torpedo bats and whether or not to consider using it.
The answer was obvious no.
“I swayed the same bat for 16 years,” Freeman said.
