Former Los Angeles left-hander Julio Urias was suspended until after an All-Star break for violating Major League Baseball’s joint violence, sexual assault and child abuse policies, Commissioner Rob Manfred announced Friday.
“The baseball committee’s office has completed an investigation into allegations that free agent pitcher Julio Urias violated Major League Baseball’s joint violence, sexual assault and child abuse policies.
Urias is revived following the conclusion of the All-Star break.

Urias, 28, last pitched for the in 2023. The left-handed pitcher was first suspended in 2019 in 20 games on domestic battery.
He was then placed on administrative leave in September 2023 in response to an arrest in a domestic violence incident. The second incident occurred outside the LAFC soccer game. He hasn’t pitched at any level since.
Over eight seasons with Form 2016-23, Urias went 60-25 with a 3.11 ERA. He won the final of the 2020 World Series and placed third in the Cy Young Award vote in 2022.
