Aston Villa wants to sell Leon Bailey during the summer transfer, and Turkish outfit Fenerbahce has held talks for him.
The 27-year-old has not been a key player at Aston Villa for the past 12 months. It’s no surprise that the West Midlands Club is ready to remove Bailey. According to Footmercato, the two clubs are currently locked in discussions and it will be interesting to see if they can complete the transaction.
Leon Bailey will try to make his mark in Türkiye
Bailey can use a fresh start, and a move to Türkiye might be ideal for him. He has previously been impressed in the Premier League and is undoubtedly having the quality of doing well in Turkish football. The player has 16 goals and 17 assists in his name in 110 Premier League appearances.
The players are still very much at the peak of his power, and he aims to return to his best. Turkish regular football was able to bring out the best in the players once again.
Aston Villa needs additional attacks
Meanwhile, Aston Villa already lacks depth in its attacking units, and Jamaica International’s departure will be even more weakened in the final third. They need to bring quality alternatives. It will be interesting to see if you can bring in a reliable center and a high quality wide player.
Bailey is about to hit the ground running in Türkiye and establish himself as a key player for Fenerbafe.
