Reports in Spain claim that Arsenal is interested in Sevilla’s talented young defensive midfielder Lucien Agome this summer.
France Under 21 International has been impressed during his stay in La Liga and is likely to be considered by Gunners in doubt about the future of Thomas Party.
That’s not yet confirmed by the slightly reputable outlet, according to reports from Fitcheyes.
Agme had previously linked to Arsenal, but Foot Mercart said last December that the North London giants were interested in him.
It didn’t last for anything. It is not yet clear whether these new reports will prove to be so important, but it may become clear once you know what’s going on with Partey.
Can Arsenal sign Lucien Agume to replace Thomas Parti?
As things stand, Part is out of contract and Fichajes claims Barcelona is interested in him.
Arsenal.com has announced that Partey’s contract has expired, but discussions are underway about giving Ghana International a new contract.
Partey is a key player on Mikel Arteta’s side, so I imagine keeping him will be a top priority for the club.
However, if you can’t reach an agreement, it will be interesting to see if links with Agoume or other players in a similar profile will gather the pace.
Arsenal already has a new midfielder signing the bag
Arsenal already has one midfielder this summer. Martin Zubimendi is expected to join from Real Sociedad, according to the movement.
Spain International looks like an alternative to the departing Gorguinho. So, if Partey also moves, you may need to add another addition to that area of the pitch.
Agoume may be a name worth watching, but for now, this story probably isn’t very exciting.
