Manchester United were involved in a 0-0 draw with Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
It was another match when Man United showed that their team lacked quality and that their offense was un-edge.
The Red Devils seized a chance against Pep Guardiola’s side, but due to the lack of quality they have on the side, they were unable to score and had a boring match against Man City.
It was a performance that raised more questions about Man United and their future, as it is clear that some players in the club would be not enough.
These ideas were echoed by Sky Sports expert Gary Neville after the game, who claimed Man United needed five new signatures at the club and hinted at players not enough to play for the club.
Speaking of Sky Sports, Neville states, as reported by the standard:
“They need five new players, Manchester United, before they even think about the rest.
“So they need to serve him with five sufficient players in this system to make sure he can play his system the way he wants.”
Man United team lacks depth and quality
It’s obvious that Neville will see the players talking about. Rasmus Holjund, Joshua Zirkzee, Diogo Dalot, Patrick Dorgu and Alejandro Garnacho are the players Neville mentions.
These players have been slowing down performance at the club on a massive scale, making it difficult to oppose critics’ evaluations.
Apart from Dorgu, all other players are given enough chances to prove themselves, but lacking quality, consistency and maturity.
There’s a reason United are paying attention to Bournemouth’s Antoine Cementho’s move, and they’re ready to fight Tottenham until the very end to sign him.
The lack of fatal strikers at the club forced them to make Victor Osimen a major summer target.
