The Golden State Warriors pulled off a stunning comeback victory after losing to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Golden State Warriors traveled to San Antonio to face Victor Wembaneyama and the Spurs, who have struggled so far.
The Warriors defeated the Spurs 125-120, thanks in large part to another miraculous performance from Stephen Curry.
The 37-year-old finished with 46 points on 13-of-25 shooting, five rebounds and five assists.
When Curry gets hot, it’s one of the loveliest things in sports.
The way he can shoot and drill the ball from anywhere on the court is something Warriors fans have been spoiled by throughout his 17-year career.
Does Nico Harrison deserve to be fired?
Warriors players know that once Curry hits his stride, they have to do everything they can to keep feeding him the ball.
Gary Payton II talked about watching Curry play.
“When he locks in and starts moving, I think it makes everyone nervous, both on the bench and in the game. We’re trying to find a way to stop and get the ball back to him.
“We try to give him space to operate, whatever he needs. If he has to come get a screen, we keep it open for him and continue to make it easy for him to get looks.”
“If he gets a good look, he can get it done right away.”
It’s been a season full of ups and downs for the Warriors so far. They started the season 2-0 but suffered an early slump.
Overall, the Warriors are 7-6 with recent wins. One thing has remained constant throughout the Warriors’ season thus far: Curry’s dominance.
Curry shows no signs of slowing down and continues to show why he is perhaps the most dangerous player in the game.
It will be interesting to see if the Warriors try to make a big trade to help Curry compete for an NBA championship again this season.
