In his first Test against the National Cricket Team in India, Gautam Ganville finally explained why skipper Shubmangill is not making full use of pace bowling all-around player Chardurthakur.
Team India locked Team England and the Horns in the Test Series opener for Headingley in Leeds, suffering a five-wicket loss, making it 0-1.

Shardul Thakur did the Lord in two innings and England
Thakur was chosen as the pace bowling all-around for Indian Nitish Kumar Reddy, who is playing XI for his first test in India.
The pace bowling all-around, who was on stage during India’s final tour to England, was not given enough overs to bowl in the first innings by the skipper.
Shubman Gill showed no trust in Shardul Thakur to choose Wickets and was released mainly in Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna and Ravindra Jadeja.
India bowled 100.4 overs in the first innings on the ball and after being introduced into the offense very late, Shardeur Thakur was only given six overs.
Even in two innings, Shardul Thakur bowled the fewest overs of all Indian bowlers, but he managed to make a big impact by scoring two wickets with 51 runs in 10 overs.
Thakur initially bowled a leisurely delivery, but displayed “lords” by producing magical double wickets. Shardul Thakur rejected Centurion Ben Duckett at 149, and Harry Brook helped India hold a mini combback for the duck out of nowhere from 55th.
Shardul was used a little less, but the reason for that was… -Gautam Gambhir
At a post-match press conference, Gautam Ganbil said that all-rounder Rabindra Jadeha bowled so well that Shardur Thakur would not be used in the ball, and Captain Shabman Gill decided to go with the spinner. Gautam Gambir also praised Chardur Thakur for his shocking spell in two innings. He said:
“Shardor was used a little less, but the reason is probably because (Rabindra) Jadeha bowled really well and he thought Jadeha would give us control. Shardor got us two important wickets.
“So I’m not going to sit here and say that this guy didn’t work or that guy didn’t bowl well. Shardr gave us two important wickets that got us back in the game. I think we’ve become more consistent. That’s more important and these boys will learn.”
I think Placid bowled really well – Gautam Gunville
Prashidi Krishna was India’s most successful bowler after Jasprit Bumra in the Leeds Test with the UK, but he was very expensive as he leaked 220 runs to bag five wickets.
Speaking about Krishna, Gautam Gambir said that Pacer bowls well and he is for the future. The Indian head coach said:
“I think Placid bowled really well. He got an important wicket for us. He chose him because he thought there was something different. He has that bouncing off.
“He continues to get better with experience. He has all the ingredients, the best bowler, which is a very good bowler. He was showing it here with Sydney too. So I said I’ll continue to support these boys.”
Gautam Gambir also supported the Indian bowling force after failing to defend 371 runs in four innings against England. He claimed:
“These are inexperienced bowlers, but they keep getting better. In this Test match, we found out we were in position for the first four days.
